BIGINN ClusterXchange: The Particle Accelerators Community

BIGINN Partnership invites SMEs, clusters, research centers, and other scale-up organizations to meet the Big Science community of particle accelerators in Venice, Italy on 7-12 May.

Participants will have the possibility to discuss fundamental and engineering aspects of particle accelerator technologies along with their novel scientific and hi-tech industrial applications together with an open forum for the discussion of technological bottlenecks, enabling concepts, original ideas, and networking. This will be realized thanks to exploiting the unique opportunities the 14th International Conference on Particle Accelerators (IPAC) provides.

Eligible participants will have the access to receive up to 900 Eur lump-sum from the ClusterXchange mobility scheme to cover travel and other participation expenses.

What you will do?

Why to participate?

  • Gain insights about possible business and/or innovation collaboration with other companies and institutions with activity on the field of Particle Accelerators and applications;
  • Expand network of direct contacts and develop new cross-border partnerships;
  • Identify new business opportunities and get involved in new innovative projects.

Who can participate?

Everyone. But to receive financial support of up to* 900 € an eligible entity should be from from COSME country (excl. Italy, in this event) which is:

  • A cluster or similar business network organization
  • A scaling-up support organization (technology centre, research institute, fab-lab, resource-efficiency service provider, [digital] innovation hub, creative hub, incubator, or accelerator) that is a cluster or a similar business network organisation member
  • A small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) that is a cluster or a similar business network organisation member

*900 Eur will be provided if participant (visiting organsation) will participate in the full program.
A financial support of €450 can be granted if the participation does not cover the whole programme (but covers at least 3 days) .

Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN, home.infn.it/en/) – host organisation – the Italian research agency dedicated to the study of the fundamental constituents of matter and the laws that govern them, under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR). It conducts theoretical and experimental research in the fields of subnuclear, nuclear and astroparticle physics. Today the INFN employs some 5,000 scientists whose work is recognised internationally not only for their contribution to various European laboratories, but also to numerous research centres worldwide.

IPAC’23: The 14th International Particle Accelerator Conference (www.ipac23.org/). IPAC is the main international event for the worldwide particle accelerator field and industry. Attendees will learn about world-wide highlights in cutting-edge accelerator research and development, hear about new projects, gain the latest insights into accelerator facilities across the globe and, last not least, will have the opportunity to meet their peers and to make new business contacts. Over 1,200 delegates and 80 industry exhibitors are expected to attend this remarkable and noteworthy event. IPAC’23 will offer the most complete review on new ideas, important results and ground-breaking technologies in the field of particle accelerator science and technology. All this is in one week! An exceptional opportunity!
